We do not compete with undignified fast fashion enterprises. We prioritize local farms & suppliers. We have a plan to scale ethically and keep all of our manufacturing in house so there is never a question about ethical production and quality. We value spiritual & ethical integration so strongly that we will not compromise it for profit. We have faith that the rest will follow.

I haven't felt so comfortable in a piece of clothing for a while!

Over the last year, my body has changed a lot and I feel super frumpy in most of my clothes. The corset back of The Coco makes the top fit snug and perfectly. I haven't felt so comfortable in a piece of clothing for a while!

Lex Baker is an American-Canadian who was inspired by her master seamstress Grandmother to realize her love for sewing and design. In the creation on Mother The Studio, her debut brand, she continuously asks, "How can I make this brand leave only positive effects on the planet and community?" It is important to this self-taught artist to use only high quality, fair trade, sustainable, biodegradable materials to give her work inherent value. She currently runs Mother The Studio solo, but has aspirations to scale it into a community-driven company.
